We’ve been here once before . . . .

We started our campaign in 2018 when there was a planning application submitted for new housing in the lovely Hawber Cote fields. This was an opportunistic venture to try and link new housing development with the construction of the new school. It failed. But the the land owners have now joined with Persimmon Homes to have another go. This time with a full PR onslaught which would like us to share their dream, or is it nightmare?

If you live in Silsden you will probably have received a leaflet from Persimmon’s agent, announcing their ‘consultation’. There may be some amongst you who think that yet more houses is a good thing, but if not, we urge you to make your feelings known, particularly by lobbying your ward councillors and MP to actively oppose this from the start.
