A Land For All Seasons, the first book published by Silsden Campaign for the Countryside, is being launched at a fund-raising coffee morning on Saturday March 9th at the St. James’ community hall.
Our book is a pictorial celebration of the wonderful rural scene between Hawber Cote, Brown Bank Lane and the medieval hamlets of Brunthwaite and Swartha – but it also reveals the profound loss for future generations if full-scale development proceeds here.
Everyone who cares about this countryside and its popular footpaths and biodiversity is welcome to join us on March 9th between 9.30-11.30am. Enjoy a cuppa, and purchase A Land For All Seasons, which costs £4 99. There will also be a cake stall.
Our full-colour booklet combines terrific photography and artwork with poignant thoughts and memories, all contributed by local people of all ages.
